Each member of our executive and non-executive team brings extensive experience and expertise in their specialism. From the directors who have significant control over the affairs and management of the team to the support worker, together, they all work in synergy to keep the people we support at the heart of all our decisions, in developing our high standards of support and ensuring our staff are motivated to be the best they can be.

Sammie Idika

Director

Sammie Idika, founder and director, is a highly experienced and dedicated carer who has worked in
the healthcare sector for over two decades. A professional carer skilled at providing expert care and
support, Sammie is experienced in the health and safety of persons with learning disabilities and the
behaviour of vulnerable adults. Sammie has extensive experience working in acute mental health
care settings with a developed understanding of supported living principles, including working within
multi-disciplinary teams such as the NHS and external agencies. Within these roles, Sammie
constantly engaged and demonstrated awareness of current mental health legislation, with a crucial
understanding of the requirements of safeguarding vulnerable adults. Sammie has also looked after
his father, who suffered from severe dementia. This experience shaped his career trajectory, and
Sammie prides himself as being someone to who caring comes naturally. In their current role,
Sammie operates as a Health Care Assistant within an Acute Care Mental Health Unit. In this role,
Sammie demonstrates their knowledge of adult safeguarding protocols for vulnerable adults, with
an understanding of mental health conditions, complex needs and substance misuse.

Sammie received their BSc Hons in Sociology from the University of Lagos in Akoka, Nigeria.

Ian Banks

Director

Ian is a Project Manager who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Business Management from Coventry University, and an MSc in Business Management from Arden University Warwick, United Kingdom. He brings a wealth of business, project and risk management experience from over 20 years of working across diverse industries ranging from Oil and Gas, Maritime, Pharmaceuticals, Aviation Industries and nuclear projects. Working across these highly regulated industries, particularly pharmaceuticals where he was directly responsible for ensuring the conditions of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) were maintained consolidates his professional etiquettes and proficiencies specifically in keeping to and complying with diverse industry principles and operating guidelines. These proficiencies contribute to the foundations of keeping people safe, which is embedded in operating under strict regulations and that which underpins the extremely regulated health and social care sector.

Dr Oby Okolie

Ethics, Research, compliance and regulatory assurance

Oby is a public health expert with research interest spanning across social services, community healthcare, health policy, and antimicrobial resistance. She holds a first degree in medical optometry, Masters in Clinical Ophthalmology from University College London (Moorefields) and PhD in Public Health. She doubles as a clinician and community expert and have been involved in preventive healthcare research aimed at shaping public health agenda. She has gathered a broad range of industry experience from Hospital and community settings; Charities; International organisations like GHAIN, USAID; Government agencies and Department of health; Academic and research Institutes.

Dr Uzoma Igwe

Strategic Operations, Customer Experience, people and organisational development

Uzo’s biggest assets is simply wrapped in these phrases: empathy, respect, support and kindness. She believes those are the panoramic lens which identifies with people at their different levels of vulnerabilities and situates her in their lives to make a difference by showcasing an ambience of care that propels them to do better; invigorates and motivates them to improve their independence; exceeding their expectations; and surpassing the set targets and goals of improved health outcomes.
